I do think it's more logical to ask for metadata before the file name, but equally I don't like the metadata editor appearing when you use external program, where it serves no purpose. It's not dangerous however, so if there is no other way to kill it when command-line exporting (or no way to defer the overwrite renaming until metadata is confirmed), then I guess we will have to live with it as now? > But, I'm kind of biased since I don't use tags and feel the thing just > gets in my face too often anyway. :-) There is of course a preference to stop Metadata Editor appearing before the export step, but it is a global preference, and I suspect some users really "would" find it useful to be able to disable it for uncompressed files. Of course if you ever bring in your RF64 support we might have to reconsider... Gale |
