I'm trying to build from CVS, with XCode 3.0 on PPC iBook Leo 10.5.1 I have libs ogg,vorbis,ID3tag,Flac,twoLame,sndfile previously installed in /usr/local/lib and bin. Also, /local/lib/pkgconfig has .pc files for all sys libs except ID3. Wx-Mac 8.8 and pkg-config (from Fink,in sw/bin) also installed and working. Running build with project configure flags (--with-libsndfile=system etc) set for all of the existing libs results in libs vorbis,ID3,Flac,expat available in system but sndfile and twoLame not available except in local. They're all in the same place, but configure script won't see them, stoping with error on sndfile. If I reset to sndfile=local, error stop on twolame. I used release-shared.xconfig to append path to use /sw to find pkg-config, and have reset lib search dir in project info several times, as well as pointed all libs to their sources. Do I have a version problem, a PATH or pkg-config dead-end or what? Can I read the install script to see what Audacity is looking for, by what name and where? In Terminal, echo $PATH is /sw/bin:/sw/sbin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/X11/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin In Xcode Audacity info, library search paths=/usr/local/lib. In .xconfig, PATH=:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/local:/usr/local/bin:/sw/bin:/sw/sbin:$PATH" I guess I need to know search path precedence or I could tweak these all day. I would, but I also get to wait for configure to build a makefile for portsmf every time even though I have --without-midi. Tips anyone?
