Beinan, I've just restored the feature that allows you to select a region on a label track, and type in a new label. This is probably what you previously used to have text on multiple label tracks. You can/should also be able to do this in the older beta by first selecting a region on the track and then using CTRL-B or Tracks->Add-Label-At-Selection.
