I suppose the user's logic may be as that so many programs *don't* run on Vista (and their websites often don't mention support for Vista or not), it was easier to email than click through. I'll let the user know gently if I haven't seen a copy email here. IMO the announcement email is not long and only occasional, so it would not hurt to specify the OS versions. Also next announcement time it might be an idea to change the email text so that it doesn't refer to the subscription box at the bottom, then we can move the box itself back up underneath the download boxes on the page (assuming we still think that lets more people see it).
