Hi Gale, Okay, that makes sense now, thanks (re your explanation of "select all"). And thanks too for that little "keyboard ditty" to select only the short piece of audio in it's own track. (Indeed, when I had just track 2 selected and one short piece of audio in it and applied an effect, it applied only to track 2, with silence appended to the end of the project as you indicated.) :-) David -- David R.
