| Subject: [Audacity-devel] Checklist - Batch issues
| Is "export multiple" available to "batch"/"edit chains"?
No. How would it be implemented? Would it need an extra "export multiple"
command item in the chain for each exportable format, and then what
parameters could you have for that command before the multiple tracks or
labels were set up? Or would you in fact have an extra "Apply chain to
export" button in the Export Multiple dialogue, in which case what meaning
would an Export command in the chain have? My verdict - quite desirable
but one for a 1.5 Beta version
It made me think of a few things:
1) could direct access be given in the Export commands in the chain to
the Specify [format] Options dialogue, rather than having to go to File >
Export to set these, then cancel?
2) when applying a chain to a Project, should it not be possible if only
part of a track/tracks is selected, that only the selection is processed and
exported in the chain? Fairly easy to implement?
3) Should individual commands in the chain allow areas of the track to
be selected in their parameters when applying them? In particular, Fade In
and Fade Out are of little practical use without this ability, except for loops.
