Hello Andreas Nice icons... There are two very good scripts scripts for gimp which are tailored for drop shadows for desktop icons. See... http://vita.uwnet.nl/linux/scripts.html I tried it out on Audacity-logo_48.xpm The result is attached and looks good on my KDE desktop. Regarding the choice of png and xpm format, gnome and xfce users should decide. KDE always scales correctly regardless of format.
