But, for now, I wanted to keep it simple...coding-wise. The reason is that anything more extensive would make it a LOT more dependent on the internal workings of wxWidgets. As it is, I had to copy the wxFileDialog code for each platform and modify it to add the button. Overriding wxFileDialog methods could have been done, but the ones that weren't overridden might not be the same from version to version and they might not work with the overriding code. The actual code to add the button is very platform specific and there is no way to do it using standard wxWidgets classes/interfaces. Leland |
