In theory, you just run: ./configure --with-rtaudio make But Alexandre is right: it was a proof-of-concept, and what we learned was: * RtAudio is somewhat cleaner code than PortAudio, and has a slightly easier to use interface. * Both RtAudio and PortAudio have lots of bugs. It's definitely not the case that RtAudio is superior * PortAudio has more developers working on it and supports more APIs. So in spite of our difficulties with it, we decided that continuing to try to improve PortAudio is the best bet. The RtAudio code may or may not work.
