Martyn, this is an edge case. Since the project only contains silence, there are no .au data files in the data file directory. Thus, the data file directory has not yet been created. Of course it could be optimized to ignore this warning, but in any case for real-world projects (which have data, otherwise it would not make sense to recover them after all) this will not happen.
