Hi Richard I worked on that feature a while back. Although I have done some minor testing, I am not sure if enough people have tried out the feature to affirm the stability. So, in short, the development is complete and the feature should be ready for release provided we get to do some more testing. Just to add, I do have some ideas about adding gains for each channel and using a similar dialog to enable Audacity to playback multichannel audio ( suggested by Dominic ). I feel these will make the feature more "complete". Unfortunately, I am not sure if I have enough time to do these changes before the release. I just changed my home machine from Linux to an Intel Mac and I haven't yet set up development environment on the Mac. ( spare this OSX n00b :) ) Anyway, I think the feature is still fairly complete as it is now. So, the enhancements could go into 1.5 unless we really want to include them in the 1.4 release.
