Leland suggests using wxFilename in plase of FixForOS(). A good suggestion, but not one I'm going to act on. If I'd been aware of wxFilename when I wrote that code I'd have used it, and if Leland or anyone else wants to make that bit of code a bit more wxWidgetsy, that's cool by me. I've now got a copy of postfish source. Thanks. I tried googling for screenshots but didn't find any and as I reckon I'm going to have problems building this on windows ;-) I'm using it mainly to get an idea of what it does and how, and how we should/could make merging it in easier. I'm dubious about using wxWidgets threads in place of pThreads. I need to look into whether they lose too much performance in being general; also I've seen them deadlock under windows in cases where I'd swear they shouldn't due to message loop code (needs further investigation). --James. |
