I'm trying to fix this, but it's not in the obvious place - the code in src/widgets/TimeTextCtrl.cpp multiplies the time in seconds by by the constant which is supposed to be the sample rate according to the comments. I presume that the change in sample rate has got hard coded somewhere - even when I change the default sample rate and restart audacity, generate a 1-second tone and select it with project and track rates set to 48000Hz, the selection is shown as 44100 samples. Relatedly, there are two interface problems on linux: 1)The field isn't big enough to accommodate the value displayed, so you can only see some of the digits unless you select the field contents. 2)You can't actually type values into the time fields because the key strokes get interpreted as shortcuts in the application, thus moving the selection ... OK thanks for confirming you are on XP Home and informing us that when the selection range is shown in samples, the samples are shown as for a rate of 44 100 Hz, irrespective of the actual Project Rate. |
