Hi leland, David old: Left at Playback Position the left and right brackets again do not work to make a selection, either by typing in numbers for left and right brackets, or physically moving cursor, pushing l&r brackets and accepting displayed numbers for start and end times. Effects remain grayed out after setting positions with l/r brackets. Leland: Yep, I FINALLY see it. Don't know what it is yet, but I can reproduce it and that's the biggest step. I think it's a track focus problem. David new: Interesting thing is, I was able to create a selection twice in one audacity 1.3 session in the version before the one I've now got... but I was only able to do this twice, I was not able to repeat it in that version. I wondered if I was going la-la *chuckle* . Davidold: Change gain on focused track Shift+G the text identifier on the gain edit field still says "text", but "gain" is on the track bar. Leland: Found it. I'd placed an include in the wrong place. Davidnew: What I meant above was that I like labels on both the edit field as well as the track bar. Davidold: Open menu on focused track Ctrl+Shift+M not working Leland: Wow, this is a goodun. Still looking for the cause. The list of combos I sent you was from Windows XP and for some reason that I haven't found yet, it combo shows up as Ctrl+Shift+M. However, it is SUPPOSED to be Shift+M. That's what is in the program and that is what show up under Win 98. Davidnew: Yeppers, shift+m does work in Win98, it seems to be identical to shift+f10, and left clicking on the name of the track (when using the numeric keypad). But shift+m is nicest, the hands can stay in place on the main keyboard. Those are the kinds of keyboard shortcuts I like best. David |
