Me again, It would be nice if someone could investigate how portable (for Windows) libraptor and liblrdf are. These libraries provide support for classification of different LADSPA-plugins via RDF. This means that, e.g. if several LADSPA delay plug-ins are present in a system, they can be grouped into their own Delay submenu. So a user who needs a specific plug-in would need to go through all 1 to xxx submenus searching for a plug-in whose name may not reflect its action very well and instead go to a self-explaining submenu and pick one of plug-ins there. This will leave is with a same weird looking "Effects" menu, however, so maybe current built-in plugins could be classificated as well, so that our belove "Effects" menu could finally hav a consistent look. C'mon, The GIMP does it perfectly, if you saw 2.3.x CVS, of course :) Alexandre |
