Hi everyone, during my bug hunting concerning the track minimize feature it became clear that because of the new "minimize" buttons mono tracks must become about 15 pixels bigger by default to ensure that all controls still fit into the panel. With this change, stereo tracks get even larger (I think they are already too large as they are now). The "minimize tracks" feature (and also the multiclip support) works around this a bit, but still the question remains what the default size of tracks should be, and if the user should be able to change it. I'm thinking about different solutions: - Leave everything as it is now (the "proven technology" argument) - Leave mono tracks as big as they are now, but make stereo tracks smaller by default - Make everything smaller by default (with mono tracks, not all controls would be visible with this solution) - Make track height dependent on window height and number of tracks, that is, if there are only one or two tracks, show them "full-screen", but later on proportionally resize tracks up to, say, 4 or 5 tracks - Automatically minimize other tracks when new tracks don't fit on screen anymore - Give track popup menu an option "Set current track height as default height for new tracks" Comments highly appreciated!
