Yes, definitely!

Yes, Audio::CoolEdit was a useful for the first part, but I wrote the code
to be automatically compatible with all versions of CoolEdit (I have not
tried Adobe's Audition, yet, anyone using it?)

Oh, you won't have to wait long. I'll make it available on freshmeat this
week probably, as a cep2lof package. We want some bug reports before
getting it into audacity, I guess :)
