Here's a screenshot for the uninitiated.
It's an expert app for RME cards only, but it's one hell of a role model.

Also, Elemental Audio's Inspector, a free VST fx metering plugin comes
recommended. Take a good look at it guys. It's configurability stands out,
just like that of RME's Digicheck does.
