Hi Dominic Well I did a mistake and didn't keep a copy once I got it working. I can tell you that the area that looked like that source was a bad humming when a MIC recording started. I will get a new recording and see if I can reproduce. What I think I did was first perform a noise removal and then a normalize. Listening to the current exported wav, I can faintly hear some digital noise in the newly created file. This noise is in the entire portion that I think was responsible for the crashing. I only heard this digital noise when I listened to a CD of the recording on my sound system (my PC audio is not loud enough). So could it be the noise removal that sets up the problem with normalize, that is a good question. If you are interested in this "other" problem, the file is currently 11MB, but I could make it smaller. I can FTP to anywhere you would like it. I will do my best to reproduce the original problem.
