Hi everyone, I just added Juhana's improvements to key handling (Feature #1). Brian, should I now try to get the focus thingy to work or are you already at it? I have not checked in Feature #2 - #5. #2 did work already (I changed this some days before), #5 has been rejected by Dominic, and #3-#4 would be major changes where people are concerned. I will add them if discussion has completed (regarding this matter also check my next mail). I also have another idea, but first want to ask if this would be okay. At the moment, if you press keys like HOME/END/LEFT/RIGHT etc., the window is only scrolled, but the selection is not cleared or set in any way. This somewhat defeats the purpose of these keys, because the user can press HOME for example to scroll to the beginning, but when she then tries to start f.e. by pressing SPACE, the cursor will jump back to the previous selection and start from there. I'd like to change this so when pressing these keys (without the SHIFT modifier), the selection jumps to the scrolled position. We could f.e. then use the CTRL key to denote "just scroll, but don't set selection" (like in text editors). Would this be okay for everyone? Markus |
