I have used this for years to write grant proposals, reviews, articles for publication in lay and scientific journals, a long multi-chapter book that contained many mathematical formulas and illustrations, handout materials and "slideshow pdfs" for in-person and virtual courses and workshops, personal and professional correspondence etc.. One thing that OpenOffice does very nicely is dealing with encapsulated PostScript (eps and epsi) files. Importing and exporting MS Office-compatible files isn't perfect, but a big part of that problem may be that most MS Office users don't really understand how to use formatting tools e.g. styles in particular. FWIW, LibreOffice has its own problems importing and exporting MS Office compatible files, and basically lost the ability to handle eps and epsi files many versions ago.

Open Office 4.1.15 download Able to download the file and extract it but the file won't update the 4.1.14 version. Can some one assist? I've done many updates before and have never had this issue.Reply from Apache OpenOfficePosted 2024-06-07
