API Support for your favorite torrent trackers
Jackett works as a proxy server, it translates queries from apps (Sonarr, Radarr, SickRage, CouchPotato, Mylar3, Lidarr, DuckieTV, qBittorrent, Nefarious, etc.) into tracker-site-specific HTTP queries, parses the HTML or JSON response, and then sends results back to the requesting software. This allows for getting recent uploads (like RSS) and performing searches. Jackett is a single repository of maintained indexer scraping & translation logic, removing the burden from other apps. Trackers marked with (invite needed) have no active maintainer and may be missing features or be broken. If your client supports multiple feeds it's recommended to add each indexer directly instead of using all indexers. Using the all indexer has no advantages (besides reduced management overhead). We recommend you install Jackett as a Windows service using the supplied installer. You may also download the zipped version if you would like to configure everything manually. -

Make sure Android applications are compatible with your Chromebook, first try to install an official application. Download an official app, such as Evernote, from the Chrome Web Store. Then download an open source game, like 2048.APK Game by Uberspot and load it as an unpacked extension. Go to chrome://apps and launch it there, ignore warnings. Install a sample Android app from the Chrome Store to get the runtime. Test out that app, make sure it runs on your hardware. Ubuntu might need sudo apt-get install lib32stdc++6. Install Node.js and install the tool (might need a sudo prefix). With Chrome 38+ you can now side load as many applications as you want. If you have older apps that were created using chromeos-apk tool then re-convert them or remove the "key" option from manifest.json. -

The Deduplicating Warp-speed Advanced Read-only File System. A fast high compression read-only file system for Linux and Windows. DwarFS is a read-only file system with a focus on achieving very high compression ratios in particular for very redundant data. This probably doesn't sound very exciting, because if it's redundant, it should compress well. However, I found that other read-only, compressed file systems don't do a very good job at making use of this redundancy. See here for a comparison with other compressed file systems. DwarFS also doesn't compromise on speed and for my use cases, I've found it to be on par with or perform better than SquashFS. For my primary use case, DwarFS compression is an order of magnitude better than SquashFS compression, it's 6 times faster to build the file system, it's typically faster to access files on DwarFS and it uses less CPU resources.
