Lua is a powerful, efficient, lightweight, embeddable scripting language. It supports procedural programming, object-oriented programming, functional programming, data-driven programming, and data description. Lua combines simple procedural syntax with powerful data description constructs based on associative arrays and extensible semantics. Lua is dynamically typed, runs by interpreting bytecode with a register-based virtual machine, and has automatic memory management with incremental garbage collection, making it ideal for configuration, scripting, and rapid prototyping. Lua is designed, implemented, and maintained by a team at PUC-Rio, the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. Lua was born and raised in Tecgraf, formerly the Computer Graphics Technology Group of PUC-Rio. Lua is now housed at LabLua, a laboratory of the Department of Computer Science of PUC-Rio. -

SpaceVim is a community-driven modular Vim distribution. It manages collections of plugins in layers, which help to collect related packages together to provide IDE-like features. First of all, you need to install Vim or Neovim, preferably with +python3 support enabled. Also, you need to have git and curl installed in your system, which is needed for downloading plugins and fonts. If you are using a terminal emulator, you will need to set the font in the terminal configuration. After SpaceVim is installed, launch nvim or vim, all plugins will be downloaded automatically. The easiest way is to download install it. cmd and run it as administrator or install SpaceVim manually. If you want to use vim script to configure SpaceVim, please check out the bootstrap function section. The SpaceVim Documentation will introduce you to the main topics important to using SpaceVim. -

A tool for linting and static analysis of Lua code
Luacheck is a static analyzer and a linter for Lua. Luacheck detects various issues such as usage of undefined global variables, unused variables and values, accessing uninitialized variables, unreachable code and more. Most aspects of checking are configurable: there are options for defining custom project-related globals, for selecting set of standard globals (version of Lua standard library), for filtering warnings by type and name of related variable, etc. The options can be used on the command line, put into a config or directly into checked files as Lua comments. Luacheck supports checking Lua files using the syntax of Lua 5.1, Lua 5.2, Lua 5.3, and LuaJIT. Luacheck itself is written in Lua and runs on all of the mentioned Lua versions. -
