    XLLMNRD

LLMNR responder daemon for IPv6 networks

This project produces a LLMNR responder daemon named xllmnrd in order to improve interoperability between POSIX‐based operating systems and Microsoft Windows in a small or home network environment. xllmnrd is an independent LLMNR responder daemon (a.k.a. llmnrd) for IPv6 networks and currently supports GNU/Linux operating systems with plans to support others. It allows Microsoft Windows clients to get the IPv6 addresses of a server on the same local network without any DNS configuration and can supplement IPv4‐only NetBIOS name resolution provided mainly by Samba.

    Restriping Tools for Lustre (Retools)

    Restriping Tools for Lustre (Retools)

{bzip2,gzip,rsync,tar} with automatic striping according to file size

Retools is a set of modifications to the commonly used open source utilities bzip2, gzip, rsync, and tar that automatically selects the Lustre stripe count for created and/or extracted files according to the sizes of the files involved. By striping large files over a higher number of physical disks and small files over a lower number, aggregate I/O bandwidth for large files is maximized and the impact to the file system due to small files is minimized.

DDOS Deflate - El Guapo Edition

ddos_deflate, el Guapo Edition is network trench defense!

Assuming a firewall (whether in hardware or in software via IPTables / IPChains / or another software firewall), then the bulk of your nefarious traffic is (hopefully) already being taken care of. However, what slips through, on legitimate ports, can sometimes be denial of service attacks. A truly distrubuted denial of service attack is something for where there exists no known solution (at least at this time). However, a single user dos (or a small number of users working together) can...

    KA9Q Mirror

An impressive early implementation of TCP/IP

Mirror directly approved by Phil Karn, KA9Q. The KA9Q NOS TCP/IP package began life way back in 1985 on a surplus Xerox 820 computer board running CP/M with a 4 MHz Zilog Z-80 CPU, 64KB of RAM and a 8" floppy drive holding all of 243KB. Later, it moved to the IBM PC with the 8088 and 80286 CPUs running MS-DOS. KA9Q NOS was only the second known implementation of the Internet protocols for low-end computers. Unlike PC/IP, KA9Q NOS could simultaneously act as an Internet client, a server...

    Proxyp

    Proxyp

    Multithreaded Proxy Enumeration Utility

Proxyp is a small multithreaded Perl script written to enumerate latency, port numbers, server names, & geolocations of proxy IP addresses. This script started as a way to speed up use of proxychains, which is why I've added an append option for resulting live IP addresses to be placed at the end of a file if need be. Requires IP::Country module and root/administrator privileges. "No man is free who is not master of himself" --Epictetus "For a man to conquer himself is the first...

    Linux for Beagleboard-xm

A Tailored Small Linux for Beagleboard-xm

Beagleboard-xm is a powerful chip with a cortex-A8 CPU and a DSP. I have the plan to build an OCR gadget using it with Linux. As a by product I will post my tailored Linux kernel and u-boot, and all relevant stuff here, from now on. I was shocked by the blocking of Chinese citizens from accessing some of the contents on sourceforge. I deeply regret the outrageous action initiated, even though I fully understand the reasoning behind it.

    indicator-hosts-up

    indicator-hosts-up

Panel Indicator to interact and monitor hosts

It is an easy and handy way for home or small offices where nowadays we have many hosts (pcs, routers, smartphones, NAS, media centers, wi-fi intruders, etc) and we want to know what is up and interact with them. This was born as many others from my need to turn on/off a computer in another room or see what is up before going to bed or be alerted by some intrusion in my local net via wi-fi. It needs a lot of improvements and I hope the community can help. New hosts are discovered via...

This small tool parses LogWatch mail reports and extracts serveral variables such as disk space usage, hard disk read error rate (from smartd), etc.... They are exported to a simple format that allows its use as input for tools like gnuplot, and lets you inspect these variables tendencies. This should make it easier to detect anomalies or prevent failures in your servers, than having just the value for today.
