Monitor CPU load and terminal activity, execute command when idle
The loadavgd program monitors the CPU load and user input at (pseudo-) terminals. It provides a kind of power management for server systems, where keyboard or mouse activity can not be queried. Loadavgd was written because powernap did not work on my system. If the load is below a certain treshold and there is no input at any (pseudo-) terminal for a given amount of time, an action is issued. This action might be, for instance, "suspend". The D-Bus API of systemd-logind is called to invoke an action. The daemon is configured via a configuration file. -

Tini
A tiny but valid `init` for containers
All Tini does is spawn a single child (Tini is meant to be run in a container), and wait for it to exit all the while reaping zombies and performing signal forwarding. It protects you from software that accidentally creates zombie processes, which can (over time!) starve your entire system for PIDs (and make it unusable). It ensures that the default signal handlers work for the software you run in your Docker image. For example, with Tini, SIGTERM properly terminates your process even if you didn't explicitly install a signal handler for it. It does so completely transparently! This sketch makes the Arduino work as a GPIO interface for a computer, where input and output changes are transmitted in run-length encoding. Every time an input pin changes, the Arduino sends the new values of the input pins and the time since the last change. In a similar way, the Arduino can be programmed a sequence of output pin changes, each specified by the new values of the output pins and the time since the previous change. -

BrainNet36® has 36 channels, A/D converters with 16 bit accuracy, conversion time of 10 µs and Ethernet communication interface. Being a device for clinical purposes, BrainNet36® does not export data online. This sniffer was developed to allow online processing by working in promiscuous mode and recording data in a plain text file. -

Note: the project is basically dead, as I started rewriting it but I don't have much free time to work on it. It's basically a micro-kernel, but on top of that, instead of having multiple servers running as standalone processes, it has a modular kernel, so that each server is a module of this kernel. The micro-kernel contains only the scheduler, memory management and drivers for high-speed devices (like gigabit ethernet NICs or video cards).

A new kernel I am developing in my spare time. The eventual solution I hope will involve a 32 bit base kernel and 64 bit extensions therefore maximising compatibility with non 64 bit machines.
