A simple Haskell code prettifier. The goal is not to format all of the code in a file since I find that kind of tools often "get in the way". However, manually cleaning up import statements, etc. gets tedious very quickly. This tool tries to help where necessary without getting in the way. Aligns and sorts import statements. Groups and wraps {-# LANGUAGE #-} pragmas, can remove (some) redundant pragmas. Removes trailing whitespace. Aligns branches in case and fields in records. Converts line endings (customizable) Replaces tabs by four spaces (turned off by default) Replaces some ASCII sequences by their Unicode equivalents (turned off by default) Format data constructors and fields in records. -

The layout of the input influences the layout choices in the output. Choose a style compatible with modern dialects of Haskell. As new Haskell extensions enter broad use, we may change the style to accommodate them. The CodeXCavator is a tool for source code indexing, tagging, and fast full-text search. It consists of two applications: The indexer is a configurable tool for creating an index for large amounts of source code or plain text files. The searcher is a GUI based tool for fast full text search within previously created indexes. The toolchain also supports code tagging, i.e. you can include special tags within comments inside the source code. These are indexed separately and can be associated with any kind of URL, which can be opened from the searcher tool itself. Searching and indexing is based on the Lucene framework by Apache Software Foundation. The CodeXCavator can also be extended through plugins. Detailed documentation can be found in the Wiki of the project.
