    Lightweight Architecture for boundedly Rational Agents

    For the purpose of policy simulation in coupled social-ecological systems (e.g. energy supply), a credible modelling of actors – especially citizens – and their decision processes is needed. This requires a framework capable of handling high numbers of heterogeneous agents (several hundreds of thousands). LARA (Lightweight Architecture for boundedly Rational Agents) meets these requirements and fills the gap between frameworks without built-in psychological foundations and full-fledged cognitive architectures which are both not viable options in this context. LARA provides prefabricated components of an agent’s decision process like perception, memory, and different modes of decision making. These components are psychologically plausible, i.e. based on appropriate psychological results and theories. Moreover, interfaces for basic learning and social influence are available.

    RAPSim - Microgrid Simulator

    An easy to use GUI enables electric source and grid simulation.

    RAPSim (Renewable Alternative Powersystems Simulation) is a free and open source micro-grid simulation framework for better understanding of power flowing behavior in smart microgrids with renewable sources. It is able to simulate grid-connected or standalone microgrids with solar, wind or other renewable energy sources. The proposed software calculates the power generated by each source in the microgrid and then it conducts a power flow analysis. This software is helpful for optimal placement of distributed generation units in a micro grid. RAPSim is designed for use in science and classroom with a simple to use graphical interface. It is an easily extendable framework that supports users in implementation of their own models, for grid objects, and algorithms for grid control.

The latest version of skunks is on my site: https://matei.one/. 3D realistic driving (not racing) simulation with software rendering, based on Open Dynamics Engine (which is included in all *.tar.gz files so it doesn't have to be downloaded separately). 10 cars (all electric) and 16 tracks are available in version 5.1.0. Cars and tracks can be easily created and modified. Only SDL 1.2 or SDL 2 required besides standard C library. GNU/Linux and Wind0ws executables are available. If using GNU/Linux and SDL 2, it might be necessary to add -lpthread in the comp file, at line 2.
