p3d is a general data-reduction tool for use with fiber-fed integral-field spectrographs (IFSs); although, the spectrum viewer works with spectrum data cubes of any origin. The tool is built about the proprietary software IDL (Harris/EXELIS; see http://www.harrisgeospatial.com), but can be used without any license. Most slowly running loops are implemented in parallelized C (OpenMP). -

Estimates delta13C of species in a microbiome from proteome data
Calis-p (The CALgary approach to ISotopes in proteomics) is a java application to estimate isotopic composition (e.g. delta13C or delta15N) of individual species in a microbial community from a proteomic dataset. Calis-p 2.0 handles both natural isotope abundances and data from labelling experiments such as stable isotope probing (SIP). It requires a mzIdent (or target spectrum match) and mzML files as the input and requires about 1 min per mzML file with 10 threads and needs <10 Gb of RAM. It has been tested with data from various nano liquid chromatography/Orbitrap platforms. For successful SIP, it is extremely sensitive, but requires the 13C fraction to remain below 10%. ...History: This instrument driver project is part of of a non open source data acquisition and analysis project used at Colorado School of Mines, JSeisLab. JSeisLab is a Java port of its predecessor "Spectrum Division for Windows" which is written in VB 6.0. Design: I created a 64-bit JNA wrapper with IVI's visa.h version 5.0 as input to JNAerator (https://github.com/nativelibs4java/JNAerator). Instrument drivers written in Java can use this wrapper. A 64-bit VISA library from either an instrument company (e.g. National Instruments, Tektronix) when running Windows or libvisa (http://www.librevisa.org) when running Linux needs to be installed . -
