    LaSolv

Solves symbolic electrical AC circuit equations

In electrical engineering, AC circuits are often used in the design process. However, deriving the gain, input impedance or what have you is tedious and error prone. LaSolv takes a SPICE like description of your circuit and solves for whatever parameter you specify- voltage gain, trans-impedance, input impedance, etc.

Larch: Data Analysis for X-ray Spectra

Data Processing and Analysis for X-ray Spectroscopy and More

Larch is a scientific data processing language that is designed to be easy to use for novices and complete enough for advanced data processing and analysis. Larch provides a wide range of functionality for dealing with arrays of scientific data, and basic tools to make it easy to use and organize complex data. Larch has been primarily developed for dealing with x-ray spectroscopic and scattering data, especially the kind of data collected at modern synchrotrons and x-ray sources. Larch is written in Python and relies heavily on the standard tools for scientific computing with Python (numpy, scipy, matplotlib, and h5py).

    Nelder Plot Designer

    Nelder Plot Designer

A Computer-aided Tool for Nelder Plot Design

Nelder plot (Nelder 1962) is an experimental design for testing a multiple tree spacings in a single plot. The shape of plot is circular with some number of concentric wheels or arcs radiating outward and the spokes connecting the center. The intersections of spokes and arcs are the tree positions. The tree position on different wheels represent a different the tree spacing distance or tree density. This design eliminates the need for separate experimental plots for each tree density. The difficulties with Nelder plot design is their uncommon layout and complex parameterization (Parrott et al. 2012). This computer-aided tool for designing the Nelder plot can be very useful for the practical implementation of this experimental design.\r\n\r\nReferences\r\nNelder JA (1962) New kinds of systematic designs for spacing experiments. Biometrics 283–307\r\nParrott DL, Brinks JS, Lhotka JM (2012) Designing Nelder wheel plots for tree density experiments. New Forests 43:245–254.

    PTBC

    PTBC

    irreversible encryption with time self-destruction

Petoron Time Burn Cipher (PTBC) A promising cipher based on self-destruction of time, complete absence of traces and impossibility of key selection. Key features: AES-CFB encryption with per-file IV Argon2id key derivation with 256MB RAM resistance TTL (time to live) built directly into the encrypted file HMAC-SHA512 integrity verification Self-deleting mode (--autowipe) and one-time access marking (--onetime) No file metadata, no recovery, no password resets Philosophy: If you lose the password - it’s over. If time expires - it’s gone. PTBC doesn’t forgive, doesn’t forget, and doesn’t leak. https://github.com/01alekseev/PTBC

    TheoDORE

    TheoDORE

Theoretical Density, Orbital Relaxation and Exciton analysis

The TheoDORE (Theoretical Density, Orbital Relaxation and Exciton analysis) package is a general purpose program suite for the analysis of excited states obtained from quantum chemical excited state calculations. Wavefunction analysis is based on state and transition density matrices, which provides a unified formalism applicable independent of the wavefunction model. TheoDORE is interfaced to a number of quantum chemical programs (Q-Chem, Columbus, Turbomole, ...) and can be used for a wide range of excited state methods (MR-CI, ADC, CC, TDDFT). It is written in a modular fashion to allow for an easy extension of these capabilities. Code development moved to github: https://github.com/felixplasser/theodore-qc
