    OpenRTDynamics

A framework for implementing real-time control systems

    - - - T H I S P R O J E C T M O V E D T O G I T H U B - - - A framework for the implementation of advanced real-time control systems which uses signal/block-based schematics (like Simulink) extended by several features like state machines and online-exchangeable sub-simulations. Besides, this framework properly handles multiple threads, their communication, allows to synchronise control systems to external events (e.g. variable timers or incoming network packages) and provides many other nice features. ...

    Attitude Estimator

    Attitude Estimator

A C++ implementation of a nonlinear 3D IMU fusion algorithm.

...Up to 3-axis gyroscope, accelerometer and magnetometer data can be processed into a full 3D quaternion orientation estimate, with the use of a nonlinear Passive Complementary Filter. The library is targeted at robotic applications, but is by no means limited to this. Features of the estimator include gyro bias estimation, transient quick learning, multiple estimation algorithms, tuneable estimator parameters, and near-global stability backed by theoretical analysis. Great emphasis has been placed on having a very efficient, yet totally numerically and algorithmically robust implementation of the filter. The code size has also been kept to a minimum, and has been extremely well-commented. ...

    MIT SPHERES Simulation (Release)

    MIT SPHERES Simulation (Release)

MIT's spacecraft simulator for control algorithm development

...The simulation code base consists of simulated versions of most of the SPHERES core flight code and additional code that simulates dynamics, communications, and other environmental interaction. The simulation is particularly valuable during the early stages of algorithm development and implementation as an aid in accelerating the learning curve for any Guest Scientist for SPHERES. Algorithms may be implemented in C or Embedded MATLAB and executed in the MATLAB simulation environment to verify general desired behavior. With some limitations, the code used in the simulation can be directly transferred to the SPHERES hardware. We are sharing this project with the public to gather more interest for SPHERES Guest Scientists. ...

    KIPRCopter

A Quadrotor Aerial Robot platform for K-12 Education.

...Parrot advertises the toy as an advance in gaming because the control devices will project a virtual reality allowing users to play with their physical drone with an enhanced version on their controller where bullets or hot air balloons must be avoided in the virtual world. KIPR, KISS Institute for Practical Robotics is an organization that facilitates the learning of robotics programming in middle and high school students to peak an interest in computer science. To do this they hold competitions around the world called botball where students program autonomous land robots to perform various sets of tasks. KIPR, now wants to expand and leave the ground by integrating flying robots (the AR Drone) into the tasks for added interest, fun, and challenge for students.
