Souper is a superoptimizer for LLVM IR designed to automatically discover missed optimization opportunities within LLVM’s mid-end optimizers. By leveraging SMT (Satisfiability Modulo Theories) solvers, Souper symbolically analyzes LLVM Intermediate Representation (IR) to synthesize equivalent, more efficient expressions. One of the alarm states is a dawn simulating alarm, where the lights gradually come on over 20 minutes, enducing a natural waking sleeping pattern, with out the shock of a abrupt noisy alarm sound. Hence the name "Rise and Shine", although the name also works well with the educational objectives. -
