    YAFEMS

Yet Another Finite Element Method Solver

YAFEMS (Yet Another Finite Element Method Solver) is a FEM solver for Linux and WIndows that reads a MED mesh file produced by Salome (http://www.salome-platform.org/) with certain groups created into the mesh, and with the help of an input text file (.yaf), performs a 3D or 2D plane stress or plane strain analysis and creates results in plain text format and in MED format. This way a complete analysis can be carried inside Salome, where a mesh file can be created, exported and read by YAFEMS with the help of a .yaf input file and post-processed within Salome using ParaView. New in v0.4 - More performance boost due to the implementation of the Cuthill-McKee algorithm.

    piv_clustering

    piv_clustering

structural clustering of atomic trajectories based on PIV

...The approach is general and the definition of PIV only requires to specify the range of interatomic distances that is relevant for the process under study. Alternatively, also the SPRINT topological coordinates can be employed, that are particularly suited for nanostructures. The output is a partitioning of the trajectory into a few structural clusters (i.e., sets of frames), allowing for simpler analysis and visualization. Please read and cite Gallet & Pietrucci, J. MIST

    MIST

A MATLAB toolbox to simulate optical systems

Modal Interferometer Simulation Tool (MIST) is a MATLAB toolbox that can simulate arbitrary resonant optical systems in the paraxial beam approximation. It allows the user to define any optical setup (composed typically of laser sources, mirrors, lenses, electro-optical modulators and detectors) and to compute the static laser field at any point. It uses a Hermite-Gauss modal decomposition to simulate diffraction limited optics.

    VOpR

VOpR - a virtual optical rail

...The current supported optical elements are: spaces, spherical lenses, circular apertures and flat blocks of some optical medium. The program has three main components: 1. The database editor. Currently the database can store data about: -optical materials, -spherical lenses, -projection properties of light sensors and eyes, -special wavelengths of light and -optical systems as lists of basic optical elements. 2. The editor of linear optical systems. Some properties of the optical system are calculated in real time. 3. The virtual optical rail as a ray-tracing simulation of the optical system. ...

    Molcrunch

An atomic or molecular electronic properties computational package

...Its most sophisticated feature is a configuration manipulation CI package that provides symmetry filtering, orbital occupation selection, and a choice of many other wave function and/or basis characteristics. The symmetry filtering includes the ability to deal directly with certain non-Abelian groups as well as all Abelian groups. Linear systems can be treated exactly within the full continuous D-infinity-h or C-infinity-v groups. The package is completely modular, allowing control over ordering of most steps within the limitations imposed by the theory. Flow is controled completely by tcsh shell scripts, many of which are provided in the package. Users may devise their own scripts, of course.

    InterferenceSimulator

Demonstrates quantal two-slit Fresnel interference patterns.

...A magnetic flux situated between the two slits allows demonstration of the Aharonov–Bohm effect. Simulations with short de Broglie wavelengths illustrate the classical limit of quantum mechanics. Because of the universality of wave phenomena, this program can also demonstrate the geometrical-optics limit of wave optics for small wavelengths.

alleged to the video 'tutorial' "the Mechanics and its Simulation". Simulation with Lagrangian method, both symbolic, and by numerical derivation. All well-grouped in folders. there is also a 'review' in 3 demos of the Newtonian dynamics: mass-spring systems. most of progs are written in C, with use of SDL lib to display simple graphics and have real-time interactivity. As to programming complexity, it's very simple... this all aims at classical physics simulation in a simple but efficient...
