AutoAP is a script that continuously scans for open Wi-Fi connections, tests them for validity, and connects to the strongest signal. If the connection is lost, the script scans again and finds the strongest valid signal again, and maintains a continuous connection to the internet in a mobile or portable environment. The script paremeters are highly configurable, including ability to configure secure connections. AutoAP is an add on to DD-WRT that allows routers to continuously scan for and connect to open (and predefined WEP) wireless networks. Ultimately the goal is to develop an easily deployable firmware that facilitates fast and easy mesh network creation. Typically, you would use this script on your router while in Repeater Mode, Client Mode, or Client-Bridged Mode. -

fancyss is a project for bypassing the Great Firewall (GFW)
Fancyss is a “scientific Internet access / bypassing censorship” toolkit targeted principally to Asus routers running AsusWRT or Merlin-based firmware. The project provides a plugin suite (with “software center” integration) so that home routers can run proxy or tunneling tools (e.g. V2Ray) to circumvent firewall or censorship (“GFW” in the Chinese context). Because it integrates into the router’s firmware environment, fancyss automates configuration, routing, and firewall rules to minimize manual tinkering. It supports multiple architectures and firmware versions, though some submodules or variants (e.g. “fancyss_hnd”) are optimized for specific chipsets. The project also maintains offline packages for constrained environments and hardware support lists. Many users adopt fancyss to turn relatively cheap consumer routers into censorship-resilient gateways, avoiding separate proxy appliances. -

The Mist browser is the tool of choice to browse and use Ðapps. If you want to install the app from a pre-built version on the release page, you can simply run the executable after download. For updating, simply download the new version and copy it over the old one (keep a backup of the old one if you want to be sure). In order to install from .zip files, please install libgconf2-4 first. Once a Mist version is released the Meteor frontend part is bundled using the meteor-build-client npm package to create pure static files. For development we start the interface with a Meteor server for auto-reload etc. Client binaries (e.g. geth) specified in clientBinaries.json will be checked during every startup and downloaded if out-of-date, binaries are stored in the config folder. You can pass command-line options directly to Geth by prefixing them with --node- in the command-line invocation. -
