GraphicsMagick provides a set of commandline tools and programming APIs for manipulating, editing, and converting raster and vector images. It is derived from ImageMagick, with the objective of providing better stability and performance than ImageMagick while retaining the original MIT/X11 license.

VLC is an open source cross-platform multimedia player and framework, which plays most multimedia files, DVDs, Audio CDs, VCDs, and various streaming protocols. VLC media player is simple, fast, and powerful. It plays everything, files, discs, webcams, devices, and streams. VLC plays most codecs (MPEG-2, DivX, H.264, MKV, WebM, WMV, MP3, etc.) so no codec packs are needed. It runs on all platforms: Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, Unix, etc. And VLC is hassle free with no spyware, no ads, and no user tracking.

MMC is a commander-style media player for Windows, with native, hw accelerated video playing and translucent gui. Mpxplay is a console audio player for DOS and Win32 operating systems. x264vfw, x265vfw and xAV1vfw are video for windows encoder and decoder codecs, useful with VirtualDub.

xine is a free multimedia player. It plays back CDs, DVDs, BluRays and VCDs. It also decodes multimedia files like AVI, MOV, WMV, and MP3 from local disk drives, and displays multimedia streamed over the Internet.

An application that does scaling/deinterlacing/inverse telecine using a high powered PC and certain TV capture cards. Essentially, this software converts a PC into a good-quality line doubler/scaler/upconverter machine!

Video Projector/Monitor Calibration Software orginally developed as ColorHCFR. This code base is based off version 2.1 and will aim for a more open development process. FF (mpeg and) SoX Input 2a is a Winamp plug-in based on the FFmpeg and SoX libraries. Using FFmpeg almost all multimedia files may be played, including H.264 and VP8.

X JAck viDEo mOnitor: xjadeo is a program that displays a video clip in sync with an external time source, most notably jack-transport, LTC and MTC. Applications include: soundtrack composition/editing, video monitoring and -installations.

MplayerXP is branch of well known mplayer (http://mplayerhq.hu) which is based on new (thread based) core. Main goal of this project is to achieve smoothness of video playback due monotonous CPU loading.

tvtime is a realtime video deinterlacer. It displays video at full 59.94fps for NTSC or 50fps for PAL for high visual quality and smoothness of motion.

This project contains useful software tools to create a NBTV (Narrow Band Television) video source (+audio, and optionally with color) on a classical 2-channel PC audio output. It also includes a document on a hardware example explained in details, as well as how to use software tools.
