UUMATE is a respin of Ubuntu Mate (https://ubuntu-mate.org/) The main goal of this project is simple: Just have an updated Ubuntu Mate 64bit ready to install, with full multimedia support, compiz, many extra applications and some cosmetic changes. Many PPAs/Repos already available. Event sounds (minimize, maximize, close, etc...) enabled by default you can enable/disable compiz using "mate-tweak"! No need to download hundred megabytes after installation! Note: To burn the ISO to a USB stick, use "dd" command. In MS Windows use Rufus. This ISO is helpful for people trying to install linux for the first time or coming from windows environment. The default environment is PDE-FX which is the Pearl Desktop Environment with the special effects we love from the Compiz window manager. Just above that on login screen is PDE. This session defaults acually it was suppose to default to xfwm4 window manager. It acually starts openbox. Their is also a KODI session as well as a LXDE mode. Our next release features our take on the current Ubuntu session for Ubuntu's soon to be released Ubuntu 19.04 Codename Disco which at the core this Pearl release is based on as well. Because of the fact it added very little to the Pearl Desktop since it uses some gnome componets we kept the Pearl session as well as the Pearl Session running Wayland. After Booting with this Live CD, just click on the CDROM icon on the Desktop, to open its folder contents, then Right Click the zerofree.sh file and Choose the "Run in Terminal" option and then follow the instructions shown on the terminal. As you may be aware, Booting with a Live CD, requires that you need to change the Boot Order on your System / Guest BIOS, quickly on startup, by pressing either F2 OR F12 OR F10 OR an equivalent key and then change the Boot Order to boot from the CDROM first. Some Hints: Puppy Linux Live CDs show some dialogs / settings window on first startup / first shutdown. Feel free to dismiss / close them, if you do not want to make any changes, to the live cd's operation, next time, on the same system. This will not affect the zerofree's work in any way. Apart from this, using the Internet Browser, built in, would require a Free Memory of 1 GB or more, for better Performance ( as it is generally a memory intensive activity ) -
