    casefix

a small set of casing tools for use by all

The primary part of the casefix project is a small c library of case editing functions, the heart of which is 7 streaming case editors. Also, there are 3 functions that interface char arrays and strings to the streaming editors. So the library can modify the casing of any character, character block (word), any character string, character array, or any character stream. Currently, libcasefix only handles 7 or 8 bit character sets with some support for UTF-8.

    PhEq_bootstrap

FDA's f2 computation with bootstrap technique

This program was developed as a help in establishing pharmaceutical equivalence by use of FDA f2 coefficient. It was designed to help with f2 computation in cases when intra- and inter-batch variability is large, namely RSD>10%. The use of statistical bootstrap technique allows to implement confidence interval (CI) into the f2 coefficients resulting in overcoming of their major drawback in the original metrics. The algorithm provides possible “worst case scenario” of f2 values, thus supporting claim about pharmaceutical equivalence. ...

...Then you typically find out that your player model it is not manufactured anymore, and that the new model comes with a different disk which doesn't have your favorite songs. And of course it does not read the disk from the old player either. In this case the only way you can access the songs from your old player disk is by extracting them into the music/lyrics files, and use some karaoke player like XBMC to play them.

    pipelog

    pipelog

Pipe input to a file which can be rotated/cleared via signals.

Pipelog allows for rotating or clearing the log of a running process by piping it through an intermediate which responds to external signals. Without such an intermediate, replacing, moving or deleting the log would make it impossible to resume accumulating output because the process would continue to use a filehandle to an old inode; some applications (such as syslogd) implement signal handling themselves so that another utility (such as logrotate) can be used to move their log(s), and then signal the application to re-open — but this is often not the case. On receipt of SIGUSR1, pipelog will rotate the log file to log file .1, and move any existing .1 to .2, etc, while continuing to buffer input. ...

    Jxtadoop

    Jxtadoop

This project aims to provide P2P capabilities with Hadoop DFS.

...This project focuses on the Distributed File System part of Hadoop (HDFS). The goal of this project is to provide an alternative to direct IP connectivity required for Hadoop. Instead, the DFS layer has been modified to use a Peer-2-Peer framework which allows direct connectivity in datacenters as well as indirect connectivity to bypass firewall constraints. The typical use case is the use of servers in various DMZs with hundreds of gigabytes of data not used which can be leveraged to provide a massive storage cloud for Hadoop. The first release of Jxtadoop focused on providing the data storage layer with P2P capabilities based on the JXTA framework. ...
