    SuperEmbed.js

    SuperEmbed.js

Fluid width for YouTube, Vimeo, Vine, VideoPress, DailyMotion, etc.

SuperEmbed.js detects embedded videos from YouTube, Vimeo, Vine, VideoPress, DailyMotion, and more on webpages and makes them responsive. Essentially, this means they stretch to fill their container while still maintaining the content's original aspect ratio. I created SuperEmbed to fix all my issues with existing solutions, including (but not limited to) unnecessary reliance on other libraries, bloated code, and poor fallback support.

    SuperTest

    SuperTest

Super-agent driven library for testing node.js HTTP servers

A super-agent driven library for testing node.js HTTP servers using a fluent API. The motivation with this module is to provide a high-level abstraction for testing HTTP, while still allowing you to drop down to the lower-level API provided by superagent. Install SuperTest as an npm module and save it to your package.json file as a development dependency. You may pass an http.Server, or a Function to request(), if the server is not already listening for connections then it is bound to an ephemeral port for you so there is no need to keep track of ports. One thing to note, is that superagent now sends any HTTP error (anything other than a 2XX response code) to the callback as the first argument if you do not add a status code expect (i.e. .expect(302)). Expectations are run in the order of definition. This characteristic can be used to modify the response body or headers before executing an assertion.

    System Design Visualizer

    System Design Visualizer

An interactive tool that transforms static system design diagrams

System Design Visualizer is an interactive web-based tool that empowers engineers and architects to visually model, explore, and communicate complex system architecture designs in real time. It provides a drag-and-drop canvas with reusable components representing servers, databases, APIs, message queues, and user clients, enabling stakeholders to create diagrams that describe data flows, dependencies, and interactions clearly and intuitively. Beyond drawing diagrams, the tool supports semantic relationships — meaning elements can have structured metadata, links, and annotations that explain behavior, constraints, and performance assumptions directly within the design. It’s particularly useful for collaborative design sessions, documentation, and architecture reviews, bringing visual clarity to topics that are often buried in text or code comments.

The simple, easy-to-implement library to export HTML tables to xlsx

The simple, easy-to-implement library to export HTML tables to xlsx, xls, csv, and txt files. To use this library, include the FileSaver.js library, and TableExport library before the closing body tag of your HTML document. In order to provide Office Open XML SpreadsheetML Format ( .xlsx ) support, you must include the following third-party library in your project before both FileSaver.js and TableExport. To support legacy browsers ( Chrome < 20, Firefox 13, Opera 12.10, IE, 10, Safari 6 ) include the Blob.js polyfill before the FileSaver.js script. Additional properties can be passed-in to customize the look and feel of your tables, buttons, and exported data. Notice that by default, TableExport will create export buttons for three different filetypes xls, csv, txt. You can choose which buttons to generate by setting the formats property to the filetype(s) of your choice.

    The Art of Node

    The Art of Node

    A short introduction to node.js

The Art of Node is an open-source resource and codebase that explores idiomatic and practical ways to write Node.js applications, often focusing on design patterns, best practices, and real-world examples to help developers build robust, scalable, and maintainable server-side JavaScript. Instead of simply cataloging APIs, the project delves into architecture concepts such as modularization, asynchronous control flows, testing strategies, error handling patterns, and tooling setups that professional Node applications benefit from. It may include sample apps, code snippets, and documentation that walks readers through common issues and solutions, demonstrating how to leverage modern Node.js features effectively. Because Node is used in a wide range of environments—from REST APIs and microservices to tooling scripts and real-time servers—art-of-node helps bridge the gap between beginner tutorials and production-ready code.

    The Art of Programming

    The Art of Programming

A collection of practical tips can be found at the bottom of this page

The Art of Programming (Second Edition) is a curated collection of programming problems and solutions originally derived from the Microsoft 100 Interview Questions blog series, later refined into a long-running tutorial and ultimately a published book. Created by July, the series began in 2010 and has since evolved into an in-depth exploration of algorithmic thinking, data structures, and coding interview preparation. The repository brings together 42 classic programming problems from the original series, enhanced with detailed explanations, formula derivations, and optimized solutions. In July 2023, work on the second edition was announced, which expands the project with updated content, new problems inspired by recent big-tech interviews, and introductions to modern machine learning techniques such as XGBoost, CNNs, RNNs, and LSTMs. This collection serves both as a historical record of algorithm problem-solving and as a living resource for programmers preparing for interviews.

    The Web MCP

    The Web MCP

A powerful Model Context Protocol (MCP) server

Bright Data’s Web MCP server gives AI assistants robust, real-time web capabilities through an MCP interface designed to avoid blocks, rate limits, and CAPTCHAs. It presents search, crawl, navigate, and extraction tools that agents can call directly, replacing brittle scraping prompts with typed operations. The README markets it as a “gateway” to the live web so assistants don’t fall back to stale training data. Bright Data also advertises a getting-started tier with a free monthly allotment, plus options for remote or self-hosted operation depending on governance needs. Ecosystem materials and examples show how it plugs into MCP-capable runtimes and agent frameworks. Overall, the project is aimed at making web intelligence a reliable building block for agent workflows.

    Tonic

    Tonic

Easy to audit, zero-dependencies and build-tool-free

A low-profile component framework. 1 file. 1 class. ~350 lines of code. No build tools are required. Native web components. Ideal for JAM stacks. Identical on client & server. Composition oriented. Event delegation by default. Lots of examples. Building a component with Tonic starts by creating a function or a class. The class should have at least one method named render which returns a template literal of HTML. onic is a thin wrapper around web components. Web components require a name with two or more parts. So your class name should be CamelCased (starting with an uppercase letter). Tonic has no templating language, it uses HTML! But since HTML only understands string values, we need some help to pass more complex values to a component, for that we use this.html. There is no evidence that Virtual DOMs improve performance across a broad set of use cases, but it's certain that they greatly increase complexity. Tonic doesn't use them. Instead, we recommend incremental updates.

    TradingVue.js

    TradingVue.js

Hackable charting lib for traders. You can draw literally anything

TradingVue.js was a hackable charting lib for traders. You could draw literally ANYTHING on top of candlestick charts. If you create trading software, this lib is probably for you. If you like to make custom indicators and think out of the box, this lib is most likely for you. And if you miss the usability of TradingView.com in other open-source libraries and can't stand it, you are definitely in the right place! The process of adding a new indicator is simple, first you define your own data format (should be timestamped though) and display settings. Customizable colors and fonts. Quite fast (works even with 3 mil candles). Scripts (make your own indicators). Simple API for making new overlays. Custom drawing tools. Non-time based charts (e.g. Renko).

    Twitter-Post-Fetcher

    Twitter-Post-Fetcher

Fetch your twitter posts without using the new Twitter 1.1 API

Allows you to get your tweets displayed on your website using JavaScript, without using new Twitter 1.1 API. Recently I was quite frustrated to find out that the old API on Twitter was depreciated and the overhead in setting up a system to perform OAUTH just to get my already publicly available tweets was too damn high. Even worse I couldn't find any simple solutions for JavaScript. All code examples were server-side. So after much thinking, I invented the following solution. It makes use of the over-bloated widgets Twitter gives us to put on our sites, cuts out all the nonsense (and nonsemantic markup), and returns to you your raw tweet text so you can do with it as you please and style it how you want on your own website - like it should be. Instructions on how to get it working with your tweets are in the code comments, just do what it says! Enjoy!

    Underscore.js

    Underscore.js

    JavaScript's utility belt

Underscore.js is a JavaScript utility-library created by Jeremy Ashkenas that provides a broad set of functions for working with arrays, objects, functions, and other data types — essentially a “utility belt” for functional programming in JS. Instead of extending built-in objects or modifying prototypes, Underscore provides its helpers in a single _ namespace, enabling cross-browser support and consistent behaviour across environments. It offers map/filter/reduce, deep-cloning, templating, object traversal, function binding, and more, which makes it easier to write concise, expressive code rather than verbose loops and conditional logic. Many other libraries and frameworks (including Backbone) historically depended on or partnered with Underscore for their utility functions. Even though ES6+ and Lodash have overshadowed some of its role, Underscore remains influential and educational for how to design utility APIs.

    Universal Windows Platform app samples

    Universal Windows Platform app samples

API samples for the Universal Windows Platform.

This repo contains the samples that demonstrate the API usage patterns for the Universal Windows Platform (UWP) in the Windows Software Development Kit (SDK) for Windows 10. These code samples were created with the Universal Windows Platform templates available in Visual Studio, and are designed to run on desktop, mobile, and future devices that support the Universal Windows Platform. If you are unfamiliar with Git and GitHub, you can download the entire collection as a ZIP file, but be sure to unzip everything to access shared dependencies. These samples require Visual Studio and the Windows Software Development Kit (SDK) for Windows 10. Additionally, to stay on top of the latest updates to Windows and the development tools, become a Windows Insider by joining the Windows Insider Program. The easiest way to use these samples without using Git is to download the zip file containing the current version.

    UpUp

    UpUp

Easily create sites that work offline as well as online

UpUp is a tiny JavaScript library that makes sure your users can always access your site's content, even when they're on a plane, in an elevator, or 20,000 leagues under the sea. Your users are no longer sitting at their desktops, with a wire connecting them to the internet. They are visiting your site from a phone in an elevator, from their tablet on the subway, or on their laptop while they sit cramped into seat 25 E. This is why modern browsers support service workers, a new technology which lets you serve your content to your users, even when they are offline. UpUp is a free, open-source project which makes using this modern magic as simple as calling one command. While easy to pick up, UpUp is powerful enough to support anything from showing simple messages, to making fully functional single-page applications available offline, with data customized for each of your users.

    VUX

    VUX

Mobile UI Components based on Vue & WeUI

An improvised Vue.js mobile UI component library. Yes, VUX still has many problems, which are far from perfect, but they are being solved all the time. If you are using it and feel that there are some problems, you may wish to open an issue and give feedback. We are happy to solve the detailed description of the problem. Yes, there is no team maintenance. Most domestic developers have chosen a component library maintained by a well-known front-end team. Of course, you can also try to choose VUX. After all, it has been maintained for two years and star 12k. To a certain extent, it also shows that it is not worse than the open source of large company teams, right? Even if you do not directly use the VUXcomponent code, you can still refer VUX code to implement your own component libraries. If it helps you to a certain extent, then it makes sense to maintain this project.

    Video Speed Controller

    Video Speed Controller

HTML5 video speed controller (for Google Chrome)

Video Speed Controller is a browser extension that gives users precise control over HTML5 video and audio playback. It works across many websites instead of depending on the controls offered by each individual player. Users can raise or lower playback speed, rewind, skip forward, reset the rate, and jump between a current and preferred speed. Its configurable range supports both unusually slow playback and speeds far beyond the limits of most media sites. The extension can remember settings, enforce a chosen rate when a site tries to change it, and apply rules by domain. A movable on-screen indicator keeps the current speed visible without replacing the original player. Custom keyboard shortcuts and CSS make the controller adaptable to different workflows and page layouts.
