    Cloud Storage FUSE

    Cloud Storage FUSE

A user-space file system for interacting with Google Cloud Storage

Cloud Storage FUSE is an open-source user-space file system adapter that allows Google Cloud Storage buckets to be mounted and accessed as if they were local file systems on a machine. This approach enables applications to interact with cloud storage using standard file system semantics, eliminating the need to rewrite code to use object storage APIs directly.

    s3fs

    s3fs

FUSE-based file system backed by Amazon S3

s3fs allows Linux, macOS, and FreeBSD to mount an S3 bucket via FUSE. s3fs preserves the native object format for files, allowing use of other tools like AWS CLI. Large subset of POSIX including reading/writing files, directories, symlinks, mode, uid/gid, and extended attributes. Compatible with Amazon S3, and other S3-based object stores. Allows random writes and appends, large files via multi-part upload, and renames via server-side copy.

    NBT File System Utilities

Inspecting and manipulating NBT as a file system

...By combining with standard Unix file operation tools, batch editing or copying massive amount of data is very easy, comparing to other generic NBT editing tools. The file system (NBTFS) implementation (mount.nbt(8)) is based on FUSE. NBT parser and writer are originally written by Lukas Niederbremer as cNBT project which this project is based on.

    MooseFS

    MooseFS

Fault tolerant, POSIX-compliant, Net Distributed Storage / File System

MooseFS (MFS) is a fault tolerant, highly performing, scaling-out, network distributed file system. It spreads data over several physical servers which are visible to the user as one resource. For standard file operations MooseFS mounted with FUSE acts as other Unix-alike file systems: * A hierarchical structure (directory tree) * Stores POSIX file attributes (permissions, last access and modification times) Supports special files (block and character devices, pipes and sockets) * Symbolic links (file names pointing to target files, not necessarily on MooseFS) and hard links (different names of files which refer to the same data on MooseFS) * Access to the file system can be limited based on IP address and/or password MooseFS on GitHub: https://github.com/moosefs/moosefs Packages repository, download: https://moosefs.com/download Documentation: https://moosefs.com/support Recent changes: https://github.com/moosefs/moosefs/blob/master/NEWS

A FUSE filesystem that provides POSIX functionality - UNIX-style permissions, ownership, special files - for filesystems that do not have such, e.g. vfat. It can be seen as a contemporary equivalent of the UMSDOS fs.

httpfs depends on FUSE. It uses HTTP/1.1 extensions to read arbitrary bytes from a file on a web-server. This is particular interesting for an iso, since it can be investigated (loop device) without actually downloading the whole iso.

    Bash-Accessible SSH FileSystem (BASSHFS)

    Bash-Accessible SSH FileSystem (BASSHFS)

    SSHFS-like functionality via bash

BASSHFS is similar to the existing SSHFS utility except it is does not require FUSE kernel support. Instead, BASSHFS uses the aliasing and function mechanisms of the bash shell to intercept program invocations and remap those that are supported to its own versions.

ccgfs is a transport-agnostic network filesystem using FUSE. Transport is arranged by helper programs, such as SSH. The PUSH transport mode acts like a "reverse" NFS and makes it possible to export a filesystem from a firewalled host.

    lecithine

FUSE File system powered by secret sharing scheme

Lecithine is a FUSE (file system in user space) using a secret sharing scheme. You can use Lecithine as regular file system. When writing to disk, data will be devided into randomly chosen pieces (secret shares) and stored into different places. Upon reading, the shares are merged together such that in turn the plaintext results. From a cryptographers point of view, there is no symmetric or private key ever needed to produce a ciphertext.

    sql2textfs

a FUSE filesystem for mounting database tables as text files

The program `sql2textfs` is a custom file system based on FUSE that lets the user mount a database and view all its tables as files of a directory of the filesystem in a POSIX system. The databased tables are viewed as files but in a specific format: All table entries are converted into lines in a file of text. Columns are separated by tab, so all the data of the table is in a tab-delimited text file.
