FunkOS is an RTOS for 8-32 bit MCUs including AVR, MSP430, and Cortex M3. Both C and C++ kernels avaiable. Key features include preemption, periodic events, device drivers, and mutex/semaphores. Mark3OS is slightly larger, but is more scalable, much more feature-rich, and supports a wider variety of devices.

RTuinOS, the event based Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) for Arduino, is now hosted at SourceForge. In this revision, 1.0, the event concept has been generalized. Events can now be broadcasted events, semaphores or mutexes. This permits to implement all the usual inter-task communication patterns. Please refer to the user guide and the diverse code samples for details. The second technical change is a complete revision of the makefile. It has been improved in many aspects and it now supports three host operating systems; the RTuinOS samples (as well as your applications) can be built under Linux, Windows and Mac OS. RTuinOS 1.0 is distributed as setup (a ZIP archive), which contains all source files and the complete documentation, also with source files. GIMX is an open source solution that allows using alternative input methods on most of modern gaming consoles like PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360. Beside the software it requires to assemble DIY adapter from off the shelf parts to emulate original controllers and translate the input from serial port. Little or even no soldering required. With minimal knowledge one can build an advanced standalone alternative to comercial input mulitplexers for approximately 30$ at home.
