Freebasic Beginners Guide
An updated Beginners guide to FreeBASIC
The purpose of this project is to create and update a beginners guide to FreeBASIC. Over the years I have noticed that there was only three real ways to learn FreeBASIC. The FreeBASIC Documentation, the FreeBASIC Community Forum, and A old beginners guide written by Richard D. Clark and Ebben Feagan. Each of these sources are great, but they all assume some experience with a programming language. This Project is taking Richard D. Clark's and Ebben Feagan's "A Beginner's Guide to FreeBasic" and is editing, updating, reorganizing, and simplifying this guide. Mr. Clark and Mr. Feagan generously open sourced there guide so I could start this project. Without being able to stand on their shoulders I could not have even started this project. FB Chart Designer

This program allows to draw diagrams with chart library, that can be used with dialog applications, based on the RC files designers (such as FbEdit for example). This is the one of the fastest way to create window application with visual design methods, and implement into it an ellegant and flexible chart, that can be choosen from four different diagram kinds (if you edit code and use it in your projects). The source code chart library by Lothar Schirm is based on the consolidated solutions from FireFly Designer by Paul Squires. FB Chart Designer shows the complete example of connection those mentioned solutions to achieve thiny file and less code project. It makes more simply to analyze code and provides faster implementation of rebuilted chart library. Chart drawing method is based on "windows.bi" FreeBasic library (Windows API framework). Version 3.4 runs on Lubuntu 17.04. Now, Version 3.5 runs on Lubuntu 24.04. Its installation is on the Maktabah Al-Miftah Web Site. Bingo Cards

The idea is simple. Instead of solving exercises in serial form in the classroom, it is better to wrap the solving exercises experience with a game similar to Bingo. The students will love it and the teacher will have a very nice time! This extension provides Calc with a tool able to create Bingo Cards and the corresponding interactive document to play the game in the classroom. The teacher type in the Bingo sheet the questions and the corresponding answers and he/she gets the cards in the Bingo Cards sheet. A printer is required to print the BINGO cards and a scissor to cut them apart while the classroom should be equipped with a projector and a computer running OpenOffice or LibreOffice. Download BingoCards-3.1.4.zip and unzip in your computer. Please install the APPROPRIATE .oxt for your system, the other versions will NOT work! Some representative examples are included. Please install instead Apousiologos for local network located at: https://sourceforge.net/projects/apousiologoslanversion/ Greek secondary education teachers have the obligation to prepare a report for every student that exceeds the legal limit of absences and post it at their families in a monthly basis. Apousiologos is an application with the purpose to make the counting for the teacher, prepare the necessary report for him/her, and export each report in html or csv form for printing or further editing if necessary. Since, it is not known what are the similarities of the greek school attendance legislation with other countries it is not clear whether it makes sense to provide also an english (or other language) version of the application. However, if someone feels that this would help teachers from another country he/she is welcome to contact me for details. -

This is an interpreted programming language that is designed to teach young children the fundamentals of programming, hiding away from students the complex concepts of programming, such as parentheses, quotes, data types, arrays, while allowing them to understand the basic concepts of programming, and, move to a more advanced language. It also serves as an exapmle on how to create an interpreter with QBASIC. The interpreter is written in QBASIC, and is licensed under the GNU GPLv2. About the unixname: The "shortname" of the project was a typo, but it was too late when I actually realised it. Features that still need to be implemented: Boolean expressions (IF) (If I ever find a flexible way to implement them, because you can't parse user input to a boolean command in QBASIC, without using a dynamically changed BAS file, which is going to fail if using it compilled) The source code should be compiled with either QB64, QuickBASIC or freeBASIC (with the -lang qb switch enabled
