    TSNE-CUDA

    TSNE-CUDA

GPU Accelerated t-SNE for CUDA with Python bindings

This repo is an optimized CUDA version of FIt-SNE algorithm with associated python modules. We find that our implementation of t-SNE can be up to 1200x faster than Sklearn, or up to 50x faster than Multicore-TSNE when used with the right GPU. You can install binaries with anaconda for CUDA version 10.1 and 10.2 using conda install tsnecuda -c conda-forge. Tsnecuda supports CUDA versions 9.0 and later through source installation, check out the wiki for up to date installation instructions. Time taken compared to other state of the art algorithms on synthetic datasets with 50 dimensions and four clusters for varying numbers of points. Note the log scale on both the points and time axis, and that the scale of the x-axis is in thousands of points (thus, the values on the x-axis range from 1K to 10M points. Dashed lines on SkLearn, BH-TSNE, and MULTICORE-4 represent projected times. Projected scaling assumes an O(nlog(n)) implementation.

    Wflow.jl

    Wflow.jl

    Hydrological modeling

Wflow is Deltares’ solution for modeling hydrological processes, allowing users to account for precipitation, interception, snow accumulation and melt, evapotranspiration, soil water, surface water and groundwater recharge in a fully distributed environment. Successfully applied worldwide for analyzing flood hazards, drought, climate change impacts and land use changes, wflow is growing to be a leader in hydrology solutions. Wflow is conceived as a framework, within which multiple distributed model concepts are available, which maximizes the use of open earth observation data, making it the hydrological model of choice for data-scarce environments. Based on gridded topography, soil, land use and climate data, wflow calculates all hydrological fluxes at any given grid cell in the model at a given time step.

    folium

    folium

    Python data, Leaflet.js maps

folium builds on the data wrangling strengths of the Python ecosystem and the mapping strengths of the leaflet.js library. Manipulate your data in Python, then visualize it in on a Leaflet map via folium. folium makes it easy to visualize data that’s been manipulated in Python on an interactive leaflet map. It enables both the binding of data to a map for choropleth visualizations as well as passing rich vector/raster/HTML visualizations as markers on the map. The library has a number of built-in tilesets from OpenStreetMap, Mapbox, and Stamen, and supports custom tilesets with Mapbox or Cloudmade API keys. folium supports both Image, Video, GeoJSON and TopoJSON overlays. To create a base map, simply pass your starting coordinates to Folium. To display it in a Jupyter notebook, simply ask for the object representation. The default tiles are set to OpenStreetMap, but Stamen Terrain, Stamen Toner, Mapbox Bright, and Mapbox Control Room, and many others tiles are built in.

    Bayesian Optimization

    Bayesian Optimization

Python implementation of global optimization with gaussian processes

This is a constrained global optimization package built upon bayesian inference and gaussian process, that attempts to find the maximum value of an unknown function in as few iterations as possible. This technique is particularly suited for optimization of high cost functions, situations where the balance between exploration and exploitation is important. More detailed information, other advanced features, and tips on usage/implementation can be found in the examples folder. Follow the basic tour notebook to learn how to use the package's most important features. Take a look at the advanced tour notebook to learn how to make the package more flexible, how to deal with categorical parameters, how to use observers, and more. Explore the options exemplifying the balance between exploration and exploitation and how to control it. Explore the domain reduction notebook to learn more about how search can be sped up by dynamically changing parameters' bounds.

    Bumper.jl

    Bumper.jl

    Bring Your Own Stack

Bumper.jl is a package that aims to make working with bump allocators (also known as arena allocators) easier and safer. You can dynamically allocate memory to these bump allocators, and reset them at the end of a code block, just like Julia's stack. Allocating to a bump allocator with Bumper.jl can be just as efficient as stack allocation. Bumper.jl is still a young package, and may have bugs. Let me know if you find any.

    Functors.jl

    Parameterise all the things

Functors.jl provides tools to express a powerful design pattern for dealing with large/ nested structures, as in machine learning and optimization. For large machine learning models, it can be cumbersome or inefficient to work with parameters as one big, flat vector, and structs help manage complexity; but it is also desirable to easily operate over all parameters at once, e.g. for changing precision or applying an optimizer update step.

    JUDI.jl

    JUDI.jl

    Julia Devito inversion

JUDI is a framework for large-scale seismic modeling and inversion and is designed to enable rapid translations of algorithms to fast and efficient code that scales to industry-size 3D problems. The focus of the package lies on seismic modeling as well as PDE-constrained optimization such as full-waveform inversion (FWI) and imaging (LS-RTM). Wave equations in JUDI are solved with Devito, a Python domain-specific language for automated finite-difference (FD) computations. JUDI's modeling operators can also be used as layers in (convolutional) neural networks to implement physics-augmented deep learning algorithms thanks to its implementation of ChainRules's rrule for the linear operators representing the discre wave equation.

    Kale

    Kubeflow’s superfood for Data Scientists

KALE (Kubeflow Automated pipeLines Engine) is a project that aims at simplifying the Data Science experience of deploying Kubeflow Pipelines workflows. Kubeflow is a great platform for orchestrating complex workflows on top Kubernetes and Kubeflow Pipeline provides the mean to create reusable components that can be executed as part of workflows. The self-service nature of Kubeflow make it extremely appealing for Data Science use, at it provides an easy access to advanced distributed jobs orchestration, re-usability of components, Jupyter Notebooks, rich UIs and more. Still, developing and maintaining Kubeflow workflows can be hard for data scientists, who may not be experts in working orchestration platforms and related SDKs. Additionally, data science often involve processes of data exploration, iterative modelling and interactive environments (mostly Jupyter notebook).

    LaTeXStrings.jl

    LaTeXStrings.jl

convenient input and display of LaTeX equation strings for Julia

This is a small package to make it easier to type LaTeX equations in string literals in the Julia language, written by Steven G. Johnson. With ordinary strings in Julia, to enter a string literal with embedded LaTeX equations you need to manually escape all backslashes and dollar signs: for example, $\alpha^2$ is written \$\\alpha^2\$. Also, even though IJulia is capable of displaying formatted LaTeX equations (via MathJax), an ordinary string will not exploit this.
