SPIW - Scanning Probe Image Wizard

SPIW - Scanning Probe Image Wizard

Scanning Probe Image Wizard - MATLAB Toolbox

SPIW is a MATLAB toolbox, for automated processing of scanning probe microscope images. Tools are applicable to all SPM images, but the main focus is on images with atomic or molecular resolution. SPIW is primarily a MATLAB toolbox with functions designed to be called in a user's own script. SPIW also has a very basic GUI for browsing and exporting images. For information on SPIW's performance see our publication ( http://dx.doi.org/10.1063/1.4827076 ) in the Review of Scientific Instruments. A related open-source project SPIEPy (https://pypi.python.org/pypi/SPIEPy/) is developing a python library to for automated SPM imaged enhancement. SPIEPy brings many SPIW algorithms to the Python user.

    SPX

    SPX

    A simple & straight-to-the-point PHP profiling extension

SPX, which stands for Simple Profiling eXtension, is just another profiling extension for PHP. It differentiates itself from other similar extensions as being totally free and confined to your infrastructure (i.e. no data leaks to a SaaS). Very simple to use: just set an environment variable (command line) or switch on a radio button (web request) to profile your script. Thus, you are free of manually instrumenting your code (Ctrl-C a long running command line script is even supported). Using a dedicated browser extension or command line launcher. Multi metrics capable: 22 are currently supported (various time & memory metrics, included files, objects in use, I/O...). Able to collect data without losing context. For example Xhprof (and potentially its forks) aggregates data per caller / callee pairs, which implies the loss of the full call stack and forbids timeline or Flamegraph based analysis.

    SVG_plot

Plot data in SVG format using C++ library

The SVG_plot C++ library allows, with a few lines of C++ code, to add plotting of data, held in STL containers like vector and map, output as SVG files that can be viewed by all modern browsers. 1D, 2D and Boxplots can be produced, and there are a myriad of options to control appearance. The plots are very high quality and can be expanded without loss of quality (no pixelation!) but are tiny, (compared for a Microsoft Excel plot, for example) and are easily compressible, making them suitable for real-time transmission and update. The SVG_plot project was originally written by Jake Voytko in 2007 as a Boost-sponsored Google Summer of Code project in 2007. It has been maintained and enhanced since then in Boost Sandbox, but is judged unsuitable for a Boost Library, so now being made more widely available here. Version 2 adds representation of uncertainty estimates as numbers and zones.

Semiautomatic generation of semantic building models from image series

We present an approach to generate a 3D model of a building including semantic annotations from image series. In the recent years semantic based modeling, reconstruction of buildings and building recognition became more and more important. Semantic building models have more information than just the geometry, thus making them more suitable for recognition or simulation tasks. The time consuming generation of such models and annotations makes an automatism desirable. Therefore, we present a semiautomatic approach towards semantic model generation. This approach has been implemented as a plugin for the photostitching tool Hugin. Our approach reduces the interaction with the system to a minimum. The resulting model contains semantic, geometric and appearance information and is represented in City Geography Markup Language (CityGML).
