    Transducers are transformations of "sequence" of input that can be composed very efficiently. The interface used by transducers naturally describes a wide range of processes that is expressible as a succession of steps. Furthermore, transducers can be defined without specifying the details of the input and output (collections, streams, channels, etc.) and therefore achieves a full reusability. Transducers are introduced by Rich Hickey, the creator of the Clojure language. His Strange Loop talk is a great introduction to the idea of transducers. Transducers.jl is an implementation of the transducers in Julia. Aiming to satisfy the high-performance needs of Julia users, Transducers.jl uses a formulation that is pure and aiding type-stability.

    A Julia package for fast wavelet transforms (1-D, 2-D, 3-D, by filtering or lifting). The package includes discrete wavelet transforms, column-wise discrete wavelet transforms, and wavelet packet transforms. 1st generation wavelets using filter banks (periodic and orthogonal). Filters are included for the following types: Haar, Daubechies, Coiflet, Symmlet, Battle-Lemarie, Beylkin, Vaidyanathan. 2nd generation wavelets by lifting (periodic and general type including orthogonal and biorthogonal). Included lifting schemes are currently only for Haar and Daubechies (under development). A new lifting scheme can be easily constructed by users. The current implementation of the lifting transforms is 2x faster than the filter transforms. Thresholding, best basis, and denoising functions, e.g. TI denoising by cycle spinning, best basis for WPT, noise estimation, and matching pursuit.

    Gramm is a MATLAB toolbox that enables the rapid creation of complex, publication-quality figures. Its design philosophy focuses on a declarative approach, where users specify the desired end result, as opposed to the traditional imperative method involving for loops, if/else statements, etc. The MATLAB implementation of gramm is inspired by the "grammar of graphics" principles (Wilkinson 1999) and the ggplot2 library for R by Hadley Wickham. As a reference to this inspiration, gramm stands for GRAMmar of graphics for MATLAB. A similar library called Seaborn also exists for Python. Gramm has been used in many publications from varied fields and is particularily suited for neuroscience, from human movement psychophysics (Morel et al. 2017), to electrophysiology (Morel et al. 2016; Ferrea et al. 2017), human functional imaging (Wan et al. 2017) and animal training (Berger et al. 2017).
