    TensorBase

    TensorBase

TensorBase is a new big data warehousing with modern efforts

TensorBase hopes the open source not become a copy game. TensorBase has a clear-cut opposition to fork communities, repeat wheels, or hack traffic for so-called reputations (like Github stars). After thoughts, we decided to temporarily leave the general data warehousing field. For people who want to learn how a database system can be built up, or how to apply modern Rust to the high-performance field, or embed a lightweight data analysis system into your own big one. You can still try, ask or contribute to TensorBase. The committers are still around the community. We will help you in all kinds of interesting things pursued in the project by us and maybe you. We still maintain the project to look forward to meeting more database geniuses in this world, although no new feature will be added in the near future.

    Timesketch

    Timesketch

    Collaborative forensic timeline analysis

Timesketch is a collaborative forensic timeline analysis platform used to investigate security incidents by turning diverse evidence into a single, searchable chronology. Analysts ingest logs and artifacts from many sources—endpoints, servers, cloud services—and Timesketch normalizes them into events on a unified timeline. Powerful search, aggregations, and saved views help you pivot quickly, highlight anomalies, and preserve investigative steps for later review. The system supports tagging, sketch notes, and story building so teams can annotate findings and share context without losing the raw data trail. Integrations with popular DFIR pipelines make ingestion repeatable, while role-based access and audit logs support enterprise workflows. By combining scale, collaboration, and reproducibility, Timesketch moves incident response beyond ad-hoc spreadsheets to a durable, team-oriented investigation record.

    TrackXY

    TrackXY

Track & log x & y displacement, in realtime, of object in webcam

Track, in realtime, horizontal and vertical displacement of object in webcam. Log timestamp, x and y to comma-separated value (.csv) file importable to spreadsheet. Uses Lukas-Kanade algorithm and based on lkdemo.cpp in OpenCV, stripped down to track single point in high contrast against a uniform background. Based on the BSD licensed OpenCV, TrackXY also has BSD-style license. I am a bit embarrassed to be posting this here, because it's such a rudimentary program, but I couldn't find any other ready-made program that would track an object in real-time from webcam, other than an $80 special-purpose program used in the original (torsion balance) experiment we were replicating. I released TrackXY to reduce barriers to entry to science. Planned features include versions for each platform, a GUI, comprehensive data management, and data analysis tools. To analyze motion in /recorded/ video (not real-time), you may prefer something like PhysMo, also a SourceForge project.

    Wooey

    Wooey

A Django app that creates automatic web UIs for Python scripts

Wooey is a simple web interface to run command line Python scripts. Think of it as an easy way to get your scripts up on the web for routine data analysis, file processing, or anything else. The project was inspired by how simply and powerfully sandman could expose users to a database and by how Gooey turns ArgumentParser-based command-line scripts into WxWidgets GUIs. Originally two separate projects (Django-based djangui by Chris Mitchell and Flask-based Wooey by Martin Fitzpatrick) it has been merged to combine our efforts. Enable the easy wrapping of any program in simple python instead of having to use language specific to existing tools such as Galaxy. Enable fellow lab members with no command line experience to utilize python scripts. Autodocument workflows for data analysis (simple model saving).

    Zika-RNAseq-Pipeline

    Zika-RNAseq-Pipeline

An open RNA-Seq data analysis pipeline tutorial

RNA-seq analysis is becoming a standard method for global gene expression profiling. However, open and standard pipelines to perform RNA-seq analysis by non-experts remain challenging due to the large size of the raw data files and the hardware requirements for running the alignment step. Here we introduce a reproducible open source RNA-seq pipeline delivered as an IPython notebook and a Docker image. The pipeline uses state-of-the-art tools and can run on various platforms with minimal configuration overhead. The pipeline enables the extraction of knowledge from typical RNA-seq studies by generating interactive principal component analysis (PCA) and hierarchical clustering (HC) plots, performing enrichment analyses against over 90 gene set libraries, and obtaining lists of small molecules that are predicted to either mimic or reverse the observed changes in mRNA expression.
