CobXRef is a Cobol cross reference tool that reads a Cobol source program and produces a file suitable for printing 'as is' that contains all variables, procedure paragraphs and section names referenced where they are defined as well as where they are used throughout the program or module as well as lists of unreferenced data names and paragraph & section names. it is used as a stand alone program. This version includes the code from printcbl which takes in the copy books when used by any COPY verbs in the source. See the readme file for more info. Tool to transcribe Parsing Expression Grammar into a parser written in Java. Parsing Expression Grammar (PEG) is a way to specify recursive-descent parsers with limited backtracking. The use of backtracking lifts the LL(1) restriction usually imposed by top-down parsers. In addition, PEG can define parsers with integrated lexing. Unlike some existing parser generators for PEG, the tool does not produce a complex and storage-hungry "packrat parser", but a collection of transparent recursive procedures. The tool can handle left recursion. An integral feature of "Mouse" is the mechanism for specifying semantics (also in Java). This makes "Mouse" a convenient tool if one needs an ad-hoc language processor. Being written in Java, the processor is operating-system independent. Included in the package is PEG Explorer, an interactive tool to investigate the effect of limited backtracking. Sample grammars for Java & C are available from the Web Site.

MCP aims to provide not just a garbage collected C++ but one that is very similar to Microsoft's C++/CLI. It uses Boehm GC as its garbage collector. While BoehmGC can be easily employed in any C++ projects to enable automatic garbage collection, it can only run in conservative mode. MCP uses BoehmGC in precise mode.

NEWS: The MPL language is now completely defined. No more language changes are to be made. The compiler is complete and should be easy to translate to other languages if you so choose. MPL is a small, simple language based on BCPL, B, C and Jesusonic. The compiler and interpreter are written in portable Pascal. I have successfully compiled MPL for CP/M, DOS, Windows, Atari ST, Amiga and the Tandy Colour Computer. MPL is designed to be tiny in every way, while implementing all the important features of BCPL & B. The result is a compiler written in a high level language (PASCAL) which compiles to under 16K (CP/M). The symbol table, language syntax, and bytecode are all optimized for size. I will write a MPL Reference Manual in time. Contact myself if you want to help get that written.
