NOTE: We are moving this project to GitHub! Digital photographs are not ideal. Of course, the better is your camera, the better the results will be, but in any case if you look carefully at shots taken even by the most expensive cameras equipped with the most expensive lenses you will see various artifacts. It is very hard to make ideal cameras, because there are a lot of factors that affect the final image quality, and at some point camera and lens designers have to trade one factor for another to achieve the optimal image quality, within the given design restrictions and budget. But we all want ideal shots, don't we? :) So that's what's lensfun is all about - rectifying the defects introduced by your photographic equipment.

Krut Computer Recorder is a screencast tool to record audio and video from your computer screen into .mov-files and .wav-files. It can be used to e.g. make video tutorials or record games. It could also be used to record streaming video and audio.

Scanning albums is not an easy task, since the extraction of actual photographs within scans is usually very tedious. This tool allows you to scan as much as you can fit into your scanner and then semi-automatedly extract the contained photographs. Front-end web for SANE project, with external software can convert image into pdf, txt and jpg

SwingSane is a powerful, cross platform, open source Java front-end for using Scanner Access Now Easy (SANE) back-ends. The most powerful feature is its ability to query back-ends for scanner specific options which can be set by the user as a scanner profile. It also has support for authentication, mutlicast DNS discovery, simultaneous scan jobs, image transformation jobs (deskew, binarize, crop, etc), PDF and PNG output. It can also be integrated with your own Java application.

This project was used to develop an OS-independent driver for the CanoScan FB630U flatbed scanner in the form of a backend for the SANE package. Since integration with the SANE project in 2002, there has been no activity here.

Browsershots is a system for capturing screenshots of Web pages in many different browsers. When a user submits a web address on the central web interface, the screenshots are made automatically on distributed computers that are run by volunteers.

MediaSort is a tool to automatically rename your media files (pictures, mp3, ...) with their metadata attributes. You can sort your pictures by date, camera ... or other EXIF attributes. MP3s by author, album .. or other ID3 tags. Java GUI based on Ant.

The development has moved to KDE (kdegraphics and extragear). The new names are libksane for the library and Skanlite is the application.
