This extension to Firefox provides the ability to work with tabs as "trees". New tabs opened from the current tab are automatically organized as "children" of the current tab. Such "branches" are easily folded (collapsed) by clicking on the arrow shown in the "parent" tab, so you no longer need to suffer from too many visible tabs. If you want, you can restructure the tree via drag and drop. Such a tree of tabs will behave like a visual browsing history for you. For example, if you see a list of search results for a topic, each search result link will open in new child tab. New tabs opened from these "child" tabs will appear as descendants of their originating tabs. You'll easily dig and dig deeply, without losing your browsing trail - if you want to go back to the original search result, you just have to switch to the "root" tab. Moreover, each tree will reflect a group of tabs on a similar topic.

URI.js is a javascript library for working with URLs. It offers a "jQuery-style" API (Fluent Interface, Method Chaining) to read and write all regular components and a number of convenience methods like .directory() and .authority(). URI.js offers simple, yet powerful ways of working with query string, has a number of URI-normalization functions and converts relative/absolute paths. While URI.js provides a jQuery plugin. URI.js itself does not rely on jQuery. You don't need jQuery to use URI.js. URI.js (without plugins) has a gzipped weight of about 7KB, if you include all extensions you end up at about 13KB. So unless you need second level domain support and use URI templates, we suggest you don't include them in your build. It lets users scroll, open links, move through history, manage tabs, search pages, and navigate bookmarks without relying on the mouse. The project is aimed at power users who want faster, more keyboard-centered interaction with Chrome, Edge, or Firefox. It includes a large set of default shortcuts inspired by the Vim editor, while still allowing users to remap or remove commands through custom key mappings. Vimium also supports link hints, tab search, marks, visual mode, URL editing, page source viewing, and repeated commands. It is especially useful for developers, writers, researchers, and anyone who spends long hours moving through browser-based workflows.

Visibility.js is a small JavaScript library that wraps the native Page Visibility API to give developers an easy interface for detecting when a user’s browser tab becomes visible, hidden, or is in prerendering mode.
