This is a java version of the famous fortune game from BSD. I am writing this program in java so that people can have a platform independent version of this great utility. I am also hoping to add some features and make jfortune fun to use.

Create a bootable USB drive with the click of a button! This is tool built for linux to create bootable USBs. This tool is very simple and requires only a USB drive and a .iso image (can be obtained from the distributor of your desireed operating system). This program was written in C for ease and simplicity. To run this program download it, then fire up a terminal, navigate to your downloads folder (this can be done by typing 'cd Downloads/' from your home directory), then type 'chmod +x Linux-Live-USB-Creator' to make it an executable, then your can execute it by typing './Live-USB-Creator' (note: do not use the quotes '' in the terminal). After that all you have to do is follow the on-screen directions to create your bootable USB!

Pearl Surf was designed to run from a usb thumb drive made the the Ubuntu USB-Creator. We included all you need to start browsing with Chromium and Thunderbird for an email client. I decided that I was not looking to have the fastest loading live OS as from what I see is all anyone is concerned about, but to acually take a full minute maybe even 1.5 to load and have a decent OS to work with. This is also a great system for you to add software of your choosing for your own custom built system. Ubuntu Software Center is installed for you to add to this lightweight release of Pearl. Java and Flash support built in.

Small Linux from Network is a little Linux distro loaded from a network connection using a modified version of the DrakX (Mandriva Linux installer) loader. The OS image can be loaded from an HTTP, FTP or NFS server.
