Universal BootLoader Tool helps you easily recover from a failed rom flash, and is known to turn an free update rom into a full rom. (e.g. from the free WM5 update rom available for hx4700 Pocket PCs on HP.com) Only tested with HP iPAQ Pocket PCs.

A simple Windows tool that can format USB or physical volumes to either NTFS or FAT32. It supports custom Volume names and quick formatting. Done out of boredom and curiosity for practicing purposes. The program will refuse to format the Windows partition. Because the Windows partition is not always C, the check is not hard-coded. Rather, I perform a comparison between the currently selected volume to format and the known System volume. If they match, I trip a flag.

MBR2 is a remote control for various Boot Loaders such as GRUB, Limine, etc. It is a series of programs that run on various Operating Systems such as Linux, BSD, MacOS, Windows, etc. These programs all do the same thing from WITHIN THAT OS: They set the values of GRUB, Limine, etc. then restart the computer effectively allowing you to restart in a different OS without waiting for GRUB, etc. to load and make your choice. No more 'missed' choice selection when you get distracted waiting for the computer to shut down then reboot into the Boot Loader! We all know the frustration of turning our head back to the screen and seeing the wait timer has expired and booted the default AND WRONG operating system! LOL! Virtual Linux 1.1 (Tiger Edition) is basically the Mandrake Linux operating system, modified to run directly from your cd rom drive. With Virtual-Linux 1.1 you get about 1.6 gigabytes of software, all compressed onto one cd rom, using cloop compression.

BootDebug is kind of an odd ball tool. It boots up like an OS (using Grub) but is not really an OS at all. What it provides is a tool to look at the system in a very pure state, allowing you to see exactly what is going on at they very start of the system powering up.

On next reboot it will display a countdown clock with estimated time to wait before full system readiness.

A small windows programm to shut down or reboot the pc after a specified time. A Logout is also possible. A task can be set up to shut down a pc every day at the same time or you can choose an appointment in a calender. The programm is written in C#.

Startup Commander is a program, that lets you choose which you want to run on system startup. You can create different profiles for different szenarios to minimize boot time. For example surfing, working, gaming.

WakeWorker is a freeware application which is intended to wake up your computer and then wake you with your favourite song. At the evening before sleep you can just set up alarm and song or you can predefine times and turn on repeat alarm and WakeWorker will wake up your computer and then you every predefined day at predefined time with your favourite song. Also you can set up that WW will turn your volume up.

This program boots the install bootmgr/ntldr for any given ISO file. Make a multiboot windows USB key with Syslinux and FiraDisk. Put one key in your pocket and install multiple versions of windows anywhere. Formats with NTFS. Note: stored iso files must be contiguious... Try any fragmentation program. zzz. Example: 1. copy a large file then delete it from usb.- leave space. 2. run the entire fragmentation process. 3. edit menu.lst in /boot/grub (rename previous iso) 4. boot syslinux. 5. boot grub 7. run gparted 8. delete and reformat partion. 9. DDriveWrite is a C#.Net project that facilitates direct reading and writing of a disk image to a disk drive in a manner not unlike a *nix 'dd' command to a drive device node. Designed for use in bootable USB image applications. Update: After about 2 years I've finally made a couple small updates, improving usability on more modern versions of windows.
