Startup Helper lets users choose which programs are launched when the OS boots up. It also allows for waiting periods between launching programs, to prevent programs slowing each other down. During this startup process, the user can control the waiting period through the Startup Helper GUI, pausing the program, skipping a single program, or foregoing the waiting period and launching the next program immediately. This project is made in Java, so it should be multiplatform. However, I've only been able to test it on a Windows XP machine, so please let me know if there are oddities, bugs and/or malfunctions on other platforms.

lxbios is a utility for reading/writing LinuxBIOS parameters and displaying information from the LinuxBIOS table. It is intended for x86-based Linux systems (either 32-bit or 64-bit) that use LinuxBIOS.

mbldr is a boot loader which fits into first sector of an HDD (MBR). It allows to choose which partition to boot and is intended to replace an MBR coming with DOS/Windows (fdisk /mbr). It may boot OSes above 1024cyl, Linux/BSD are also supported.

radiOS is a ham radio-centric, customized version of Arch Linux. Arch is generally recommended to experienced Linux users but radiOS should help you to get to know one of the most versatile and fun Linux distributions around. Not to mention use your radio without having to compile a bunch of programs yourself. radiOS comes with tools for use with amateur radio, especially SOTA, POTA, and GNU Radio Companion with HackRF Software Defined Radio.
